Glorious and peaceful reserve. One of the few undeveloped stretches of the Sussex coast. This sheltered inlet is an internationally important wetland site for wildlife, featuring saltmarsh and mudflats, lagoons, reedbeds, farmland and shingle beach. We will park at the small visitor centre and follow the seawall path along the sheltered inlet to Church Norton and the beach…and back again – at least 4 miles – it’s a high Spring tide so strong/waterproof footwear is essential. High tide 09:26.
Optional visit to Pagham Harbour North Wall at the end of the day, if time allows.
Meet: Visitor centre car park. Pagham Harbour RSPB, Sidlesham, West Sussex, PO20 7NE
