About this Event
Join our third annual bird watching event to observe and record the different bird species on Streatham campus, to send to the RSPB for their nationwide survey.
Please wear warm, weatherproof clothing suitable to the lovely British weather and feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks. Binoculars would also be handy, but you can take part without and we will bring some spares. If you are a keen birdwatcher/ornithologist and would be happy to lead on identifying birds to help complete the record sheet (supplied) at one of the locations, please let us know.
Meet at 11:00 a.m. outside Camper Café, Queens for an hour of birdwatching from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 a.m. Depending on the size of the gathering we will be conducting bird counts at two or three different locations on Streatham Campus.

Accessibility information: one of our survey points is step free and on a surfaced path, and less than 100m from the meeting point. Our other likely survey point is in our wildest area in the Lower Hoopern Valley, please be aware it involves steps and is muddy and slippy so walking boots or wellies are a good idea. There is no seating at the survey points but feel free to join for as long, or as short, a time as you wish.
If the weather forecast is awful and we are forced to cancel we will let you know by email by 5pm on Thursday afternoon.
This event is open to University staff, students and local community members. We ask that anyone under the age of 18 is accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian.
