The Club is committed to safety and in support of this commitment, we are offering the NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) course to regular and associate (spouse) Club members on Saturday, March 14, 2025, from 8 am to 5 pm at the River of Life Fellowship (AMP next to the Wellington Grill, not the Church) in Wellington. The cost of the course is normally $125 to $200 per person; however, you can attend for free. In return, we ask that you RSO at one or more of our sanctioned events and help educate other members when you are on the range. The Club will provide lunch and refreshments for this all-day course. There is no live-fire component with this course and no live ammunition is allowed in the classroom. Please do not carry firearms (open or concealed) into the classroom. As an added benefit, you will have four Chief Range Safety Officers (CRSOs) tag-teaming the instruction for the course! Participants will learn about RSO roles and responsibilities; Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); range inspection and range rules; range safety briefing; emergency procedures; firearm stoppages and malfunctions; and there will be an open-book, multiple-choice test and review.
