About this Event
Do join us at our November Salisbury RSA Fellows network meeting for social networking and practical advice on spinning out a social enterprise from Fiona Ollerhead of the Pantry Partnership.
When the directors of The Pantry Partnership in Salisbury saw a choice between maintaining the status quo, growing or “closing” they took the bold, and possibly, surprising decision to go for a closure. But being a social enterprise they also recognised that two of their initial social aims were now being met in the local community but they saw their responsibility to gift The Pantry Partnership in some form to the community. The question is how would they spin out a social business to leave this as a lasting legacy in Salisbury for maximum impact and community “ownership”?
Fiona’s session will be an informal session, inviting questions and conversation about the journey and lessons learnt. With the big question being did they achieve their legacy goals? She hopes you can help them answer that…
This is a free event open to everyone interested in the topic and its implications for other social organisations and/or interested in the work of the Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA).
