About this Event
Join us for a night of gothic revelry as we celebrate the life and work of Rozz Williams (Christian Death, Shadow Project), with a special reading from his posthumous poetry book And What About the Bells, in Brooklyn, New York, on August 15, 2026!
The night will open with a special musical performance by the legendary David E. Williams, who has been releasing his own demented form of chamber pop for over thirty years. In 1996, David and Rozz performed an infamous one-off show at Philadelphia's Dark Harvest II Festival, which was recorded and later released as the live album Accept the Gift of Sin in 2003.
Following a special pre-recorded video tribute by book editor Ryan Wildstar--who was also Rozz Williams' collaborator, roommate, and close friend--an intimate reading of Rozz's poetry will be hosted by author and filmmaker Zach Shaw. Shaw wrote the foreword for And What About the Bells, and a lengthy interview he conducted with Wildstar also appears in the book. A limited number of books and merch will be available.
A mini museum of some Rozz-related relics will also be on display, from the private collections of Shaw and Jenni Goes.
A macabre dance party will follow the performance and the reading.
