About this Event
This multi-award winning, environmentally conscious half marathon was founded in 2008 and now well over a decade later, still takes in a beautiful route through closed roads in the city centre of the city and four of the famous Royal Parks.
Finishing in Hyde Park, the race winds through Green Park, St James's Park and Kensington Gardens, taking in the sights of many of London's most famous landmarks in the stunning surroundings of the Queen's back gardens.
The flat route is perfect for beginners, and has become a favourite of many runners, especially when it's been their first Half Marathon. The amazing sights of the capital mean that you'll never be short of something to look at as you run, and the change of scenery half way through as you enter Hyde Park is an amazing display of stunning autumnal colours.
The Royal Parks medal is different to any other that you'll get, and is a great one to hang up to add to (or start!) the collection.
The race's environmentally conscious attitude spreads through everything it does. They have removed thousands of tonnes of plastic waste by changing how drinks are administered on the course, improving their technical finisher's kit and goody bag contents as well as providing significant guidance for everyone who comes to the race on how they can keep London's parks green!
