Join the Royal Dunedin Male Choir as they celebrate an extraordinary milestone — 140 years of music, tradition, and community.On Sunday 31 May 2026 at 2:00pm, the Choir will present a special anniversary concert at St Paul's Cathedral in the heart of the Octagon.
This commemorative performance honours the Choir’s founding in 1886 and reflects on generations of choral music through a programme featuring the very first song performed at the Choir’s inaugural concert, alongside music representing many of the decades since. It promises to be an afternoon celebrating heritage, harmony, and the enduring contribution of choral music in Dunedin.
The concert will also feature special guest artists, the Southern Youth Choir, bringing together voices from across generations for this memorable occasion.
