Join us at Royal College Day on Friday, 5 July 2024 for our annual celebration of achievement within the veterinary and veterinary nursing professions.
Please register your interest in attending Royal College Day. Once received, the RCVS Events team will be in touch to confirm your place.
Format of the day:
Annual General Meeting
Registration and refreshments will commence from 10:30am with the AGM starting at 11am and is open to all registered veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses.
- Formal declaration of RCVS Council election results and appointments
- Presentation of Annual Report and Financial Statements 2023
- Council Meeting to approve the new 2024 Officer Team - President, Vice Presidents and Treasurer
Approximately 12 noon - AGM closes followed by a buffet lunch in the Florence Hall
Awards Ceremony
Our Awards Ceremony starts around 1pm, and is open to all
- Presentation of Awards
- Out-going President’s Address, Dr Sue Paterson FRCVS
- Investiture of new President Miss Linda Belton MRCVS
- Investiture of Vice Presidents Dr Sue Paterson FRCVS(SVP), Prof. Tim Parkin FRCVS (JVP)
- New President's remarks
- Guest speaker address from the Chair of the Food Standards Agency - Professor Susan Jebb OBE, PhD, FRCP (Hon), FMedSci 'The Role of Vets in the Food System – a view from the FSA'
- Afternoon tea
