ROVR, the revolutionary music discovery platform, is excited to announce its official launch event in New York City.The exclusive event, in collaboration with Public Records, will take place on Sunday, October 13, featuring a unique two-floor musical event with a dream lineup, including Dam-Funk, Marco Weibel B2B Toribio, Lefto, Mayumikiller, Kristine Barilli, Vladimir Ivkovic, and more to be announced.
Headlining the event is Dam-Funk, the embodiment of funk and a pillar of the genre in recent years. Joining him is Vladimir Ivkovic, one of the most talked-about and intriguing selectors and curators in the global music scene. From Japan, we have Mayumikiller, a master of broken beats, and Belgian DJ Lefto, often called the DJ's DJ.
Toribio, a rising multi-instrumental powerhouse whose sound is influenced by everything from Theo Parrish to gritty jazz will be spinning alongside Marco Weibel, the co-founder of Darker Than Wax. Marco's eclectic style defies genres, blending everything from hip-hop and dub to dubstep and Chicago house, creating a unique mix of low frequencies. Finally, we have local talent Kristine Barilli, who consistently crosses continents, record stores, genres, and dance floors, always pushing boundaries and taking the music to the next level.
