About this Event
Join us for an evening of community, kicking off the U.S. Route 66 Centennial Celebration. The ticket price includes appetizers and dinner by Sosta, (2) drink tickets, theatrical performance, and three unique musical experiences, weaving together a rich tapestry of sound and storytelling within Coconino Center for the Arts’ current exhibition. Benefitting Coconino Center for the Arts.
Enjoy Route 66–themed diner fare by Sosta, each dish inspired by a stop along the Mother Road, served within CCA’sRoute 66: Alternative Perspectives exhibition. The specially crafted menu takes guests on a culinary journey down Route 66, with stops in Chicago, St. Louis, Tulsa, Amarillo, Flagstaff, and Santa Fe.
Highlights include:
- Sourdough Pigs in a Blanket with stone ground mustard & giardiniera—a Chicago & St.Louis stopover
- Hatch Chili Pizza with roasted hatch chilis, corn, nduja, and cilantro—a nod to the Southwest stretch of the route
- Vanilla Gelato Pop Floats—a sweet, fizzy finale inspired by POP 66
The evening begins in the theater as Brian Sanders & The Local Group set an intimate, jazz-club mood, followed by Hard Times on the Mother Road –a moving theatrical tribute toThe Grapesof Wrath in word and song directed by Kathleen McGeever.
To close the night, step outside for dessert and a drive-in–style screening of archival Route 66 film footage under the stars with music by Edie & The Electricians.
