Celebrating the rich legacy of the Mother Road, America’s Main Street, the Route 66 Centennial Traveling Exhibit will be on view in Cuba, Missouri on May 3 - September 14, 2026. The exhibit marks two major milestones: the 100th anniversary of Route 66 and the 250th anniversary of the United States.The exhibit is free and will be open to the public:
Sunday, May 3rd (11:00 am - 6:00 pm) Opening event for the exhibit, including a 1:00 pm panel discussion, "Taste of Cuba" restaurants, and live music!
Monday, May 4th (10:00 am - 4:00 pm): Special guided visits for school groups. Email [email protected] to reserve your group.
Tuesday - Saturday, May 5th - September 14th (10:00 am - 4:00 pm): Exhibit open to the public
The Route 66 Centennial Traveling Exhibit is made possible with support from the Missouri Route 66 Centennial Commission, Missouri Humanities, the Missouri Route 66 Association, the Crawford County Historical Society and many other institutions. The exhibit will continue to travel to communities along the Mother Road, highlighting local histories while connecting them to the broader national story.
