Political scientist Tuong Vu will discuss recent research that conveys a new perspective on Vietnam's communist revolution not as a triumph but as a tragedy for the Vietnamese people, including for many revolutionaries and their children.
Historian Peter Zinoman will discuss how understandings of the Vietnam War have evolved during the 50 years since the conflict ended in 1975.
