Help to develop national policy guidance for remote (e.g., online / digital) care for eating disorders as part of our research
About this Event

Are you:

  • Interested in contributing to improved future remote care (i.e., digital and/or online) for eating disorders in the UK?
  • And either:
  • Someone with lived experience of an eating disorder/distress? (with or without formal diagnosis)
  • A family member who has supported someone with an eating disorder/distress?
  • A professional working in a voluntary or statutory eating disorders service, or a mental health service where individuals with eating disorders/distress may access care?

Join us for a 2- hour roundtable led by researchers at Northumbria University in association with REDCAN (Regional Eating Disorders Charities Alliance & Network), where we will share insights from our previous research and you will be invited to share your opinions and/or experiences of remote care for eating disorders, and tell us what you think should be considered in developing a national strategy.

You do not need any specific knowledge of policy or service systems to take part, and you will not be required to share personal experiences of care unless you wish to do so. Discussions will be recorded for transcription purposes only. All information will be anonymised.

To take part you must be aged 18 or over, living in the UK and not have currently received in-patient mental health care within the last 6 months

People with lived experience, family carers and voluntary sector workers will be renumerated £50 as a thank you for their time (bank transfer only).
