BIO ITA:
Double Spliff è un sound system italiano attivo dal 2011.
Dopo che Papi Lele ha incontrato Mr P., insieme hanno dato vita al "Yellow and Black sound wall": il sound system prese forma, così come la loro musica: heavy digital stepper in uno stile folle per una ruff & tuff selection!
Nel 2015 MC Mannaro Man si è unito ai Double spliff e ultimo ma non meno importante, Bottaman, un giovane
selector, ha preso parte al viaggio musicale.
Poco dopo, nel 2019, Double Spliff ha affermato la propria
etichetta musicale: EVERYDAY/BUN THE HERBS, un vinile 12”.
uscì lo stesso anno, seguito da Shiloh
Killer 7” MI SLIM MI THIN.
Successivamente, altre due uscite in vinile videro la luce (LYRICAL FYAH/NAH SURRENDER, longside
Kaly Green e LONG TIME COMING al fianco di Mowty Mahlyka).
la crew di Double Spliff ha preso parte a molti festival di musica Dub come Bababoom Festival, Zion Station, Dub Castle e Amsterdam Sound System weekender; hanno suonato anche allo Zion Boska Festival (Croazia) insieme ai Danubian Dub Sound System, hanno fatto un tour musicale in Messico insieme a Bass
Revelation e hanno suonato nel grande festival di musica reggae NO LOGO in Francia al Dub Motore.
Il 2024 è iniziato con 2 nuovissime uscite digitali, EARTHQUAKE/HOW LONG longside Mannaro
e MC Baco e BIG CITY FLAT/SONS OF JAH una collaborazione con Dubzoic, Mannaro e Paul Officer al microfono.
BIO ENG:
Double Spliff is an Italian sound system active since 2011.
After Papi Lele met Mr P., they together gave birth to the Black and Yellow "Sound Wall": the
sound system took shape, as well as their music: heavy digital steppers inna mad stylee for a
ruff & tuff selection!
In 2015 MC Mannaro Man joined the Double spliff
crew, and last but not the least Bottaman, a youthman
selector, took his part inna the musical journey.
Little after that, in 2019, Double Spliff stated their own
musical label: EVERYDAY/BUN THE HERBS, a 12” vinyl
got out the very same year, followed by the Shiloh
Killer 7” MI SLIM MI THIN.
After that, two more vinyl releases saw the light (LYRICAL FYAH/NAH SURRENDER, longside
Kaly Green and LONG TIME COMING longside Mowty Mahlyka) and Double Spliff crew took
part in many Dub music festivals such as Bababoom Festival, Zion Station, Dub Castle and
Amsterdam Sound System Weekender; they also played in Zion Boska Festival (Croatia)
longside Danubian Dub Sound System, they had a musical tour in Mexico longside Bass
Revelation and played in the huge reggae music festival NO LOGO in France longside Dub
Engine.
2024 started with 2 brand new digital releases, EARTHQUAKE/HOW LONG longside Mannaro
and MC Baco and BIG CITY FLAT/SONS OF JAH a collaboration with Dubzoic on the Riddim
and Mannaro and Paul Officer pon the mic.
