Round 57: Southern Survey Biennial II
Project Row Houses (PRH) is proud to present the second iteration of our Southern Survey Biennial: showcasing recent works created by contemporary visual artists living and working in “The South.”
Grab a friend and join us at this free event as we celebrate with food, live performances, family-friendly games and activities, and a vendor market with local entrepreneurs!
The Southern Survey Biennial highlights the collective creativity of Southerners while providing more viable opportunities specific to the Southern region, specifically residents of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. One artist will receive a $25,000 prize that will be selected by guest juror, Kimberli Gant, Curator of Modern & Contemporary Art at the Brooklyn Museum of Art (New York, NY).
Project Row Houses is a community platform in Houston’s Historic Third Ward, one of the city’s oldest African-American neighborhoods. PRH enriches lives through art with an emphasis on cultural identity and its impact on the urban landscape.
