The Coastal Mountain Bike series is a 3 race cross country series hosted by the Nambucca Valley Cycle Club at Jacks Ridge Mountain Bike Park in the Nambucca State Forest, Nambucca NSW.
Race 1 was held on Sunday 10 November, Race 2 was held on Sunday 8th December, and Race 3 will be on Sunday 23rd February 2025.
Race format:
*Each round is held on a race loop of 5 - 6km length, with race duration of 2 hours. Riders start their last lap before cut off at 11.15am (approx).
* Solo riders aged 11 and 12 years may enter the main event, but may race for one hour only.
*Super juniors will race on a separate one km loop for 15 minutes, there is no cost to enter however a free trial, race level membership or event day license is required.
* $20 per solo adult solo rider (19 years+) or $10 per team member (19 years+). Riders aged 11 - 18 years are half price, with junior discount automatically applied based on the age in your EntryBoss Profile as at 31 Dec 2025.
Medals - points will accumulate for all riders, and riders with the 3 highest points in each category will be awarded a CMTB medal.
We will also give away ONE $200 cash prize to a lucky competitor - for each race you enter you get one 'ticket' in the draw. You don't have to be present at the final round to claim your cash prize! Every rider in the main event is eligible for this prize. We'll also have a random rider draw for products from our very generous series sponsors!!
+++For juniors and super juniors only, there will also be a lucky draw at each of the 3 rounds for a $50 gift voucher to The Wheelsmith bike shop in Macksville, thanks to Craig and Lisa from the Apex Podiatry and Foot Clinic in SWR.
Cancellations - we will cancel or postpone the race if its clearly unsafe to ride due to either wet weather, or extreme heat/fire danger. We will make this decision by 9pm on the Friday before each event, or if it's unclear, by 2pm the day before the event. A full refund will be offered for those unable to attend the re-scheduled date.
