About this Event
Rotational Grazing Class at JBW Farm Fresh
If you’ve been thinking about raising animals on pasture but aren’t sure where to start, this class will walk you through it the right way. This is a half-day, hands-on learning experience led by Bert, built for folks who are new to rotational grazing and want to understand it from the ground up.
We’ll start the morning in the classroom, breaking down the foundations of rotational grazing in a way that’s simple, practical, and easy to follow. Then we’ll head out into the pasture to see it in real life, looking at soil health, grass growth, and silvopasture systems so you can connect what you learned to what’s actually happening on the land.
After that, we’ll come back in to go deeper, answer questions, and tie everything together so it all makes sense from start to finish.
What’s Included:
- Classroom-style teaching to lay the foundation
- On-farm walk-through of pastures, soil, and silvopasture systems
- Real-life examples of how rotational grazing works day-to-day
- Q&A session over lunch
- Lunch provided
- Full farm tour, including how we raise animals and bring products to market
We’ll take you through the whole picture, from soil to freezer, so you understand not just how to graze animals, but how it all connects.
This is a great class for beginners who want real knowledge, real examples, and a clear path forward without the guesswork.
