Organised by the St Albans Rotary Clubs with support from Everyone Active and the Salmon Club, this year we are raising funds to help Carers in Herts
Carers in Herts, based in Hertford, supports young carers who look after family members with illness, disability, or addiction. The charity provides advice, activities, and tailored support, listening to families and helping young carers manage their responsibilities. Support includes meeting peers with similar experiences, taking part in group activities, accessing equal opportunities, taking breaks from caring (including “Make a Difference Breaks”), and having a voice through the Youth Carers Council.
From April 2026, dedicated funding from Hertfordshire County Council will end as part of a shift toward Family Hubs and whole-family early support. As a result, the young carers service will no longer have guaranteed funding and will rely more on community support. There are concerns this could reduce identification of young carers and limit access to specialist help.
To book your tickets:
Simply book at ticket for the time slot that suits you. Each slot is 20 minutes duration. If you want to swim for longer, select consecutive tickets.
You can also enter a team of up to six swimmers. All team swimmers will be allocated the same lane.
