Join us at the Rotarians Uniting for Good District 6000 Conference.
This two-day conference is a TRIPLE CROWN event with INSPIRING SPEAKERS, FELLOWSHIP and FUN!
The event will be packed with Rotary celebrity speakers including Immediate Past Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick, Rotary International Director-Elect Tom Gump and Region 36 Public Image Chair Patrick Harrison. We will also hear from Mason's Light House, the Flight to EndPolio Team and many others.
Spend time between speakers visiting the HOUSE of FRIENDSHIP. Clubs and district teams will have tables set up with information about projects and initiatives you and your club may want to get involved with.
Did we mention fun? There will be a special Kentucky Derby and a Heads or Tails contest along with prizes throughout the two-day conference.
Registration is available for two days, one day or a partial day.
The speaker lineup includes:
PRIP Stephanie Urchick: Immediate Past Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick is a featured evening speaker Friday and Saturday at the conference. She will share stories about traveling the world representing Rotary and her perspective of the Benefits of Rotary - personally, locally and globally.
RI Director-Elect Tom Gump will be speaking both days. On Friday, he will share a message on "MEMBERSHIP - ENGAGING / RETAINING / ATTRACTING ROTARY MEMBERS." On Saturday he will share his message as our RI Director-Elect concerning "FUTURE OUTLOOK of ROTARY."
RPIC Patrick Harrison is our Regional Public Image Chair. He will lead a General Session with your District 6000 Public Image Team. They will focus on the ROTARY CLUB EXPERIENCE, TELLING OUR STORY and THE SECRET SAUCE. The Public Image Team will be hosting two breakout sessions with Patrick to cover additional material and questions.
Dr. David Moser, will speak on "Mental Wellness." He will focus on "Family Mental Wellness."
Tom Martin: Quad City Times Editor - Publisher will speak about "Changes in the Newspaper Industry and the Responsibilities to Present Unbiased Information to Create Individual Awareness." The changes in the newspaper industry correlate with changes Rotary is experiencing.
Masonโ€™s Light House: Hear about a new initiative to build a hospice home dedicated to serving Iowaโ€™s sickest kids - an important effort we can all support.
Flight Around the Atlantic - PolioPlus โ€“ Join us Friday afternoon to hear from John Ockenfels and Peter Teahen about the Flight Around the Atlantic for PolioPlus.
