A rare evening with long-time Memphis musician Ross Rice, coming in from upstate New York for a WYXR Listening Room session with 90's band Human Radio the previous evening. From FreeWorld to Human Radio to Big Ass Truck to Riverbluff Clan to his decade-long residency at the Blue Monkey--featuring Steve Selvidge and the late Harry Peel--Rice was a mainstay in Memphis clubs and studios until the mid-2000's, honored by peers with several NARAS Premier Player Awards for keyboards and songwriting. Songs from his solo albums Umpteen and Dwight will be featured, performed by Rice and a duo of great local musicians.
