Join us for a special presentation with Jeannette Gutierrez of the Michigan Rosies as she highlights women’s important contribution to Allied Victory in World War II with a special focus on Michigan's maritime activities. Jeannette delves into the many ways women did their part, including war production work, women in the armed forces, volunteer women, and celebrity influencers. The Michigan Rosies is a proudly independent and Michigan-based nonprofit group dedicated to honoring the Rosies of WWII and to preserving Rosie's legacy in Michigan and beyond. About Our Presenter:
Jeannette Gutierrez is a speaker, journalist and retired advertising professional. She is executive director of the Michigan Rosies (Rosie the Riveter Association of Michigan), an independent nonprofit dedicated to honoring the Rosies of WWII and preserving their legacy. She is the winner of the an Automotive Heritage Foundation Journalism Award. Jeannette has been active in the Rosie space as a volunteer since 2013 and has partnered with the MotorCities National Heritage Area, the Automotive Hall of Fame, National Geographic, and the Commemorative Air Force in Dallas, among others, to raise awareness of Rosie and her contribution to Victory in WWII.
