Step into a timeless Mackinac Island tradition with Rose’s Afternoon Tea at Island House Hotel.Inspired by Rose Van Allen Webster, the visionary who shaped Island House into a refined social destination in the early 1900s, this elegant experience invites you to slow down and savor the moment in one of the island’s most storied settings.
Hosted in the historic 1852 Grill Room, guests are seated near the windows overlooking the marina, where harbor views create a relaxed and intimate afternoon atmosphere. Each guest selects their tea and enjoys a beautifully tiered presentation of tea sandwiches and tartlets, warm scones, petit fours, and mini cakes.
With seating limited to just 28 guests per service, Rose’s Afternoon Tea offers an exclusive, unhurried experience perfect for special occasions, girls’ weekends, family gatherings, or simply elevating an afternoon on Mackinac Island. Champagne, specialty cocktails, and a children’s tea are also available.
Served at 3:00 PM daily beginning May 30th through the end of the 2026 season.
$50 per person | Children’s tea $25
