Rose Pruning and Bare Root Planting Workshop- January 13, 2024

This is our most well-attended workshop of the year. Space will book out for this fun and informative workshop so register early to reserve your spot.

9:00-9:30am: Tool cleaning. Bring your shears/pruners/clippers and gloves and we'll show you how to clean, sharpen, and care for your tools prior to heading out into the garden for pruning.

9:30am-noon: Pruning Demonstration & Planting Bare Root Roses. The program begins inside the center (classroom format) for a 30-minute introduction to pruning and the basics of planting bare root roses. Then we'll head outside to the garden with our rosarians to put your learning to work and to give hands-on instruction. Bring gloves (warm and pruning), hat, sturdy boots/shoes, raingear, warm jacket. Warm beverages and refreshments will be served throughout the morning.
