Come join me on my last major hike before I leave for Kilimanjaro taking on Rose Peak in Sunol. I am unsure why they call it Rose Peak because there are no roses on the peak.
You must have a permit to hike the Ohlone Wilderness. It is $4 for the whole year and you can purchase them on line using this link or in person. Though I have always bought my permit I have never been asked to present it by any ranger. Better safe than sorry. There is also a post on the discussion page!

This hike also qualifies for the 6 Peak Challenge and OTP hikes!
This will be a hard hike of 17 miles out and back. Dress for the weather, pack a good lunch, and lets have some fun. There may be candy at the top of the mountain!
The parking lot opens at 8am and there is a $5 fee. We will hit the trail at 820am. We will meet at the Little Yosemite trail head. See location and directions on the discussion board.
I will have a Zoom meeting to discuss the hike and answer any questions on Thursday 1/30 at 7pm. Message me for a link to the meeting. You do not have to attend the meeting

I always start on time. I have an OCD complex about starting on time. I do not wait, sorry. I blame my father for this. You can ask me about it on the trail.
