First up: Roscoe Balaban, enigmatic frontman of alt-rock band Balaban and the Bald Illeagles. Known for his hauntingly vivid lyrics that dive headfirst into life’s darker corners, Roscoe’s solo performances are a rare treat—don’t miss your chance to see this Stourbridge-born wordsmith shine in the spotlight! Drawing inspiration from Nick Drake and Leonard Cohen, his music is for those who crave art that lingers long after the final chord.
Following Roscoe, we’re thrilled to welcome Timothy Parkes (Tim), a seasoned composer and singer-songwriter with decades of experience. From opening for Miles Hunt and Gary Lucas to playing iconic venues like New York’s Knitting Factory, Tim’s journey has been nothing short of remarkable. His acoustic guitar work—often likened to Nick Drake and John Martyn—blends rich, golden tones with poetic depth, influenced by Buckley, Zeppelin, and more. After a decade-long hiatus, Tim returns with a fresh batch of songs steeped in reflection and reawakened passion.

ROSCOE BALABAN
Roscoe Balaban is a Singer/Songwriter from Stourbridge in the West Midlands. He is the frontman of alt-rock band Balaban and the Bald Illeagles. Roscoe's songs paint rivetingly bleak pictures as he plumbs the depths of the human condition and touches the kind of subject matter that most run away from. Influenced by the likes of Nick Drake and Leonard Cohen, his songs sometimes aren't for the faint of heart. Roscoe has sporadically done solo shows since 2009, however like some kind of nocturnal creature, he very rarely steps on the stage alone. He remains an enigmatic figure, but when he does come out into the light you won't forget him in a hurry.

TIMOTHY PARKES
Timothy Parkes (Tim) is an artist and composer who started out in 1999 as a solo singer songwriter, the first ten years were exciting and rich with support slots with Miles Hunt, Gary Lucas, Wayne Hussey, Hazel O’Connor and more.
Flying to NYC to play three nights at the legendary Knitting Factory, and later playing shows all over the UK clubs and festivals.
After a forced hiatus in the cultural wilderness of the last ten years, Tim has had a fill of the world and wants to express feelings about all this, through song and sound.
Blending styles and sounds on acoustic guitar, TP’s guitar playing been compared to Nick Drake and John Martyn.
Sonically influenced by the likes Jeff and Tim Buckley, Led Zeppelin, Steamhammer and Pentangle, Tim’s auditory palate is rich with golden brown tones and shimmering rhythms.
