RoR Education events are a relaxed session, aimed at all owners of RoR registered horses and riders aged 15 years and over, from newbies wanting to get their horses out to the more experienced. Come along and meet fellow RoR riders, make friends and have fun! There will be an instructor on hand to help work through any issues with flat, polework or jumping.Laura has been in the saddle since a young age, starting out in the showing ring before discovering a real passion for show jumping and now Eventing.
She has been coaching for a number of years and is UKCC Level 2 qualified, fully insured, PVG checked, first aid accredited, and holds certification in child wellbeing and protection in sport.
During a decade working in London, she found her first ex-racehorse — the start of a pathway that would shape her horsemanship. In 2017 she was selected through a Sport England grant for the 12-week Try Eventing programme, at Tweseldown, where she partnered with her ex-racer and found her true love for eventing.
Since then, Laura has had a real passion to retraining and producing ex-racehorses, guiding them into successful second careers across disciplines. Her partnership-focused approach saw her qualify for Badminton Grassroots while living in England, as well as most recently the Scottish and National Hunter Trial Championships.
Kind, patient and endlessly encouraging, Laura has a special talent for building confidence in both horse and rider — particularly with ex-racers transitioning into new jobs.
She has competed and been placed with them in showing, hunter trials, British Showjumping, British Eventing and British Dressage, proving their versatility and athleticism time and again.
As a mum to a young child and someone who also works full-time outside the equestrian industry, Laura truly understands the realities of juggling horses, family and work. That perspective shapes her coaching: practical, supportive and judgement-free, helping riders make progress while managing real life. Her calm manner, empathy and deep understanding of these horses make her not only a skilled competitor, but a coach riders trust to bring out the very best in themselves and their horses.
PLEASE NOTE that all riders must be 15 years and over at the 1st January this year to be able to participate in RoR activities. Please also ensure you enter using your horses registered name and not it's stable name.
We reserve the right to cancel or amalgamate groups if not well supported.
