What to expect:
Would you like somewhere to school your horse in the company of others and meet up with fellow RoR horse riders?
The RoR Club Event has been created to provide an informal, friendly atmosphere with access to an arena and Charlotte to help you with any problems, offer guidance and support to help you make riding and training plans for the coming season. This is a great opportunity to be part of a RoR network in the region.
These sessions can be either falt, poles with some jumping. We want to encourage all levels of riders, with horses at any stage of their retraining.
Groups of 3 - max 4 for 60 minutes.
Charlotte's Bio:
With over 20 years in the saddle, Charlotte brings a wealth of experience across competition, training, and professional yard environments. Having grown up through Pony Club and Riding Club, she has progressed through a broad and well-rounded equestrian pathway, combining strong foundations with high-level performance experience.
She has worked as both a head groom and travelling groom at some of the country’s leading showing studs, as well as riding for international eventing and dressage yards, gaining invaluable insight into elite horse management, training systems, and competition preparation.
For the past 15 years, Charlotte has specialised in the retraining of racehorses, developing a particular passion and expertise for producing sensitive, athletic horses for new careers. She has successfully ridden and trained horses to Novice eventing, Newcomers showjumping, and Advanced Medium dressage, with a strong emphasis on correct, sympathetic training and long-term soundness.
Her development as a professional rider has been supported through a number of prestigious programmes, including being selected for the British Dressage Foundation Academy (2018–2020), the BEF Lottery Funded Young Professionals Programme (2021) as one of just 11 dressage riders nationwide, and the Haddon Training Apprenticeship of Sporting Excellence (2023–2025), where she was selected as the only dressage rider in her cohort.
Currently, Charlotte trains three ex-racehorses of her own, including two stallions and one mare. One stallion is competing at Medium level dressage, having been crowned ROR North West Novice Regional Reserve Champion last year and going on to compete at the ROR Championships.
As a teacher, Charlotte is known for her calm, structured, and confidence-building approach, with a strong focus on rider education, horse welfare, and correct training principles. She enjoys working with riders of all levels, helping them build confidence, understanding, and effective partnerships with their horses.
