Rob & Richie are coming to Rapaura School!We’re thrilled to announce that Richie McCaw and Rob Nichol, NZ rugby legends and co-founders of the GODZone adventure race, are teaming up with us for a very special visit to Rapaura School on Wednesday 26th November 2025, from 12–3pm!
Arriving by helicopter at 12pm, Rob and Richie will be joining us for an afternoon full of excitement, including a GODZone presentation, student Q&A, skills sessions with some of the Makos, a touch game, and plenty of spot prizes and challenges.
A major raffle prize — an All Blacks jersey personally signed by Richie — will be presented on the day to the winner, and families can enjoy a community BBQ sausage sizzle throughout the event.
It’s going to be an incredible afternoon celebrating teamwork, adventure, and community spirit all while supporting our awesome little rural school.
A huge thank you to our Board of Trustees (BOT) and FORS for pulling this together, and to One NZ and GODZone for making it all possible and of course our local businesses who sponsored us without hesitation.
The raffle will be drawn on the 21st November so winners can attend and collect on the day — there are some other amazing prizes of all things sports (including a 3 day family pass for the Super Round rugby in Christchurch) that are up for grabs!
We will be open to the public from 11.30 am to ensure everyone is ready to welcome Richie and Rob when they land on our school field at 12pm.
This will be a whole-community day, so please invite grandparents, friends, whānau, and any rugby or multisport fans to join us.
