Roots, Rhythms & Roux: A fundraiser brunch by BlackAmericana Fest

Join us for a joyful gathering celebrating the living traditions of Zydeco and Creole music at the historic Dew Drop Inn.

This special brunch fundraiser brings community together through music, storytelling, and dance, honoring the deep cultural roots that continue to shape Louisiana’s black roots music today. Guests will enjoy a delicious brunch while experiencing intimate informances, a blend of performance and conversation, featuring culture bearer Bruce “Sunpie” Barnes and zydeco legend Jeffery Broussard with the Nighttime Syndicate.

The event will also include dance lessons, fabulous food & drink from the Dew Drop Inn, curated art auctions and raffles. Proceeds support BlackAmericana Fest, your favorite Black roots music festival, helping us uplift underrepresented artists, preserve musical traditions, and tell untold stories.
