About the Project:
Roots is a coming-of-age drama-comedy short student film shot early last year. It explores themes of identity, family, and belonging through the story of Andre, a black teenager who seeks to become closer to his white adoptive family.

Okay, but what is the film actually about?
A black teenager falsifies a paternity test in hopes of convincing his white adoptive family that he's their biological son - that's all we are comfortable sharing for now. Come to the screening to see what happens!

This short film is unrated and contains moderate coarse language with mild sexual references. Adult supervision is recommended for young audiences.
