About this Event
Rooted in Rhythm: Find Your Center
Discover the power of the drum to ground, heal, and connect.
Step away from the noise of daily life and return to a practice as old as time. This community drum event is designed to help you find your center by tapping into the primal rhythms that have guided our ancestors for generations. Before we had written language, we had the beat—a universal way to heal, speak, and connect as one.
Through simple, repetitive patterns, we create a shared heartbeat that clears the mind and calms the nervous system. This isn't about musical performance; it’s about the feeling of being rooted in rhythm, allowing the vibrations to move through you and anchor you to the present moment.
What to Expect
- A Welcoming Space: No prior drumming experience is necessary. We provide a safe, supportive environment for all levels.
- Ancestral Connection: We will explore foundational rhythms used historically for community building and restorative healing.
- The Art of Letting Go: A process-oriented experience where the focus is on your personal journey and the collective energy of the group.
- Instruments Provided: Drums and percussion will be available, though you are welcome to bring your own if you have one.
How to Prepare
- What to Wear: Dress in comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows you to sit and move freely.
- Jewelry: To protect the drum heads and ensure your comfort while playing, please leave all wrist and hand jewelry at home (rings, watches, and bracelets).
- Arrival: Please arrive a few minutes early to settle in and find your spot in the circle.
Join us to find your pulse, share your voice, and get grounded in the community.
