Back by popular demand! The Kāpiti Variety Concert returns to Southward Theatre on Wednesday 15 April 2026, with shows at 2.30 pm and 7.00 pm.This lively showcase of local talent will raise vital funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities, which supports families when their child is in a hospital away from home.
The line-up features legendary New Zealand performer Tina Cross ONZM with Australian singer-guitarist John Bettison, plus crowd favourite Steve McDonald. Also appearing are Unity Wara, Andrew London, Sam Manzanza, Unity Wara, Steve Poulton and Carylann Martin, Jess Deacon, and the Big Little Uke Band. The programme also features performances by students from Kāpiti College, Paraparaumu College, Ōtaki College, as well as from Sweet Studios and Step Out Dance Studio (Wellington).
Before the 2.30 pm matinee, the grounds at Southward Car Museum will come alive with children’s activities on the lawn and a ‘world-first’ relay contest between teams from local schools. Kids will also be able to ride in vintage cars.
All proceeds from the event will support Ronald McDonald House Charities.
