About this Event
Hailing from France and now based in Brussels, Roméo Poirier has carved out a special place in ambient electronic music thanks to his focus on heavily processed samples and digital collage-work. Having released on iconic labels such as Sferic and Kit Records, his most recent album, Living Room, was released on Jan Jelinek’s Faitiche imprint. On his first ever US tour, he is making a pit stop in Texas, presented by Quiet Control and momentary, to perform a sample and research-based set of material from the hidden realm of historical studio engineering. On October 27th, Poirier will grace The Echo Bridge in San Antonio, one of the most mesmerizing places to see a performance in America and a perfect setting for Poirier’s textural and meditative sound. He will be joined by San Antonio legend, Space Available and Texas’ experimental smudge heartthrobs, INTERZONE. On the 28th, Poirier will make his way up to Austin, to once again be joined by INTERZONE, at the capital city’s hub of underground culture, community garden. If you are a fan of experimental electronic music, these performances are not to be missed.
