Rome Free Academy presents FOOTLOOSE on April 10, 11 and 12 at 7:30pm in the RFA Auditorium. General admission tickets are $8.00 in advance and $10.00 at the door. Tickets are currently on sale at Jervis Public Library. Nominated for four Tony Awards including Best Original Score, Best Book and Best Choreography, Footloose is based on the 1984 film of the same name. It tells the story of Ren McCormack, a teenager who moves from Chicago to a small town where dancing is prohibited. As he struggles to fit in, Ren pushes back against the town’s conservative values and urges the community to reconsider its strict rules. With the help of new friends – including the local preacher’s rebellious daughter – Ren confronts the town’s influential adults and sparks a movement of joy, freedom and self-expression.

Student percussionist Brody Smith will join area music educators in the pit orchestra.
The box office opens at 6:30pm each night of the show. Doors will open at 7:00pm.
