DEA is a retelling of the latter half of Vergil’s Aeneid from the perspective of the minor goddess Juturna. After living through the war between the Latians and Trojans in Italy, Juturna has spent the last three thousand years in mourning. She decides to tell the tale anew, hoping in vain to imagine a different ending. As she watches the story play out again, Juturna must confront her grief and find strength where she had once found only powerlessness.
