JESCA HOOP
Jesca is a Manchester-based American singer-songwriter and guitarist who writes and performs in diverse musical styles. She has released nine studio albums of her own, as well as live, acoustic and dual albums with others.
Discovered by Tom Waits and brought on tour by Peter Gabriel to sing in his band, it was a phone call from Elbow’s Guy Garvey that saw her move to the UK. Her album “Stonechild”, produced by John Parish (PJ Harvey, Aldous Harding, This is the Kit), received huge acclaim from fans and critics alike, and it’s easy to see why: her beautiful songs, rooted in the folk tradition, are intricately detailed, acoustic-led pieces that teem with ideas.

Born out of a restless urge to disrupt the humdrum of everyday life — hot springs is a sonic antidote to the mundane. With a mischievous spirit and a love for the unexpected, Manchester-based band leader Rachel Rimmer crafts songs that twist and turn like a fever dream, blending groovy rhythms, off-kilter riffs, and lush, dreamy vocals into something equal parts playful and poignant.
Drawing inspiration from the fringes - with alternative folk intimacy and art-rock spirit - hot springs invites listeners into a world where melodies captivate and structures misbehave. It’s music that dances between chaos and charm, with an instinct for surprising left turns.
