No Stones fan will want to miss this unique night, on the eve of release of the much-anticipated deluxe reissue of the band’s key 1976 album ‘Black and Blue.’Music writer, Sound Lounge patron and longtime Stones contributor Paul Sexton (also the author of ‘Charlie’s Good Tonight: The Authorised Biography of Charlie Watts’) has written the extensive essay for the 2025 edition, which features a brand new interview with the band’s recent arrival of the time, Ronnie Wood.
Tonight you can hear audio highlights from that conversation as well as previously unissued tracks from the new edition AND live interpretations of tracks from the LP by a hand-picked band of contributors including songwriter-frontmen Marcus Bonfanti and David Sinclair, the latter’s DS4 guitarist and bandmate Geoff Peel, rock vocalist Helen Hurd and the rhythm section from Keiron Marshall’s Blues Matters, Tom Daley and Nigel Appleton.
But even that’s not all! Courtesy of Universal Music, everyone who buys a ticket for tonight’s event will be entered into a prize draw to WIN one of the various formats of the new release. You’d be a fool to cry - the hand of fate is telling you to check into the memory motel for some hot stuff 🔥
