Rick Schuler’s celebration of John Denver is a pure enchantment. A proud St. Louis native son, Rick formed his musical identity here. Like Denver, he’s learned how to carry a room of thousands of seats with just an acoustic guitar. You’ll hear all the hits - Rocky Mountain High, Sunshine on My Shoulders, Take Me Home Country Roads, Leaving on a Jet Plan, Annie’s Song, Thank God I’m a Country Boy and many others - and the stories that are part of them.
Playing and singing John Denver’s songs, Rick captivates crowds at venues all over the country and the world, most of them Performing Arts Centers or theaters with many hundreds or thousands of seats. Blue Strawberry is very fortunate to be able to have him in our intimate room for four shows. These shows promise to be much in demand. The band includes songwriter and singer Chloe Haynes, bringing her beautiful voice and guitar to the stage. Ms. Haynes has appeared in clubs, on the opera and musical theatre scene and most recently at Blue Strawberry in her Tapestry, A New Thread show.
Composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist, Rick Schuler's musical director, William Lenihan is a touring and studio guitarist performing around the world with luminaries from the jazz and pop worlds. Working in film and concert music he divides his time between Europe and the United States.
