Rockwater Comedy is back on Thursday 27th March, and we’re thrilled to welcome local legend and beloved Rockwater compère Simon Evans—this time as our headline act, bringing this year’s comedy season to a spectacular close.
Simon Evans is one of the UK’s most respected and best-loved comedians. With countless TV and radio appearances, acclaimed live tours, and festival performances, Simon has been at the top of his game for nearly thirty years. His hit BBC Radio 4 series Simon Evans Goes to Market is now in its sixth season, and he’s also the creator and presenter of Simon Evans is Right, as well as a panellist on the popular new show One Person Found This Helpful, hosted by Frank Skinner. You’ll also know him from regular appearances on The News Quiz.
Simon’s previous live tours—Work of the Devil, Genius 2.0, Friendly Fire, and Leashed—have sold out theatres nationwide and received glowing reviews from both national press and comedy critics. At the Edinburgh Festival, Genius 2.0 earned a rare and highly coveted ★★★★★ from The Scotsman, who described it as a “Masterclass.”
