Greg Linkert Fundraiser
Class 133 Stands with Sgt. Greg Linkert
For 25 years, Sgt. Greg Linkert has served the City of Calgary with unwavering courage, integrity, and compassion. From the moment he joined the Calgary Police Service, Greg has been a dedicated public servant, a trusted colleague, and a loyal friend.
In 2016, Greg was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), a progressive neurological disease that affects the central nervous system. Despite this life-altering diagnosis, Greg remained committed to his calling. He adapted to the challenges of MS and continued to serve with distinction—first by mentoring recruits at the Chief Crowfoot Learning Centre, and more recently by working from home, contributing to Major Crimes investigations.
As the disease has progressed, Greg’s mobility has become severely limited. He now requires a wheelchair and is no longer able to walk without assistance, participate in recreational activities, or engage in everyday community life without significant planning and support. While he continues to support the Calgary Police Service from home, he is now largely housebound.
Class 133 is rallying to help Greg regain some of the independence he has lost. We are organizing a fundraiser to provide specialized equipment and tools that will allow him to safely leave his home and improve his quality of life. Unfortunately, many of these essential supports are not covered by our benefits.
Greg has spent his career helping others. Now it’s our turn to help him.
Join us in person for the Greg Linkert Fundraiser!
It’s a fantastic opportunity to come together, enjoy live music, bid on great items in our silent auction, and support a truly deserving cause.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
We hope to see you there!
