HI SPEED LIFE
Have you ever asked yourself where have all the guitar solos gone or that drum sound is awesome, what about a chunky bass riff or even a chorus you can remember.... There are so many questions to be asked about rock music these days, well 'hi speed life' has some answers. Formed in 2010, South Australian band 'hi speed life' have already a strong set of tunes that have all these things and more. Dom Furina on drums and Peter Eime on bass give one of the best smack and riff combos we've seen in ages and singer Danny Gates giving those power vocals we need and love. It's a big ask I know but I think 'hi speed life' have answered all my questions, I know they'll answer yours, check them out!!!

SOUTH ROAD
South Road (formerly Double Driven) sounds a bit like oi! garage, grunge, alt country and pub rock with lyrical snapshots of the raw social and political issues relevant in the 2020. The band consists of Rory Davis (Dr Strangeways) on vocals & guitar, Adrian Arlt (South African band Sitter) on drums, Barnabas Bossisto (Bossi & the Boys, Pamplemousse). The band's six track debut EP ‘Bloody Roars’ contains the single ‘Kids Gone Wild’ which conjures the restlessness of youth. Along with a playful music video that was shot in Alice Springs with filmmaker Andre Sawenko. Other tracks include ’Legend of Tjilbruke’, which pays tribute to the Kaurna dreaming story of the Adelaide region, and 'Shut Down’ is a dark wave blast about trouble management. Recorded at Adelaide’s Ghostnote Studios with duo Colby Robertson and Jimmy Balderston (Grenadiers) who also leant his hard-hitting drum performances to the record. Mixed by legendary engineer Magoo (aka Lachlan Goold of Regurgitator, Midnight Oil), the Bloody Roars ...

BARON VON DOODIE
Baron von Doodie is an original 3-piece indie rock band from Adelaide, SA. BvD have been rocking local pubs with their eclectic, overdriven slacker noise since 2016. Their style has endearingly been described as "depresso punk," and "prog punk," with sonic patterns at times corresponding to Melbournian rock quintet The Smith Street Band. Doodie meld the dynamic pop sensibilities and vibrant guitar crunch of alternative bands of the 90s such as Weezer, Dinosaur Jr, The Pixies, and Pavement. Their style reflects elements from other genres akin to this such as Japanese math rock and noise rock and they even do a Surf Coasters inspired cover of Misirlou which gets fans jiving on the dancefloor. This year, Chris Larsson (guitar, vocals), Sunee Holland (bass, backup vocals), and Dylan Warren (drums) are excited to release their 5 track EP entitled "Doodle" with "Something from Nothing" as the single. You can listen to their 2017 single "Nosey" on Bandcamp, Spotify, and YouTube Music.
