Dear Parents and Carers, At Eden Park we are passionate about reading and believe that it is a passport to the world. We know that reading for pleasure is one of the most important things we can inspire in our children as it has a massive impact on their educational outcomes and life chances. For children, reading with their families is such a vital part of this!
Therefore, we are excited to launch our first ever ‘Rock Up and Read’ event at school where you will be invited into your child’s class to share a book and immerse in the love of reading on the dates below. The sessions will start at 2:50pm and finish at the end of the school day. Teachers will set up the classroom with a range of books for you to share and enjoy together!
Dates:
Monday 3rd February Reception
Tuesday 4th February Year 1 and 2
Wednesday 5th February Year 3 and 4
Thursday 6th February Year 5 and 6
Please enter through pedestrian gate 1 and congregate in the office area. A member of staff will then escort you to the classroom.
