Here at BTN Music Academy, we believe everyone deserves to benefit from the magic of music.

That's why we want to make it possible for every family, regardless of financial position, to kick-start an epic musical journey of their own.

Join us on Thursday, April 24th, at 7:00 PM as we celebrate live music and raise funds that will go directly toward providing music education opportunities in the form of monthly vocal, guitar, drum, or piano lessons for families in the Okanagan.

To help us accomplish our goal of $10,000, we have three bands that are sure to blow the roof off of Metro Hub in downtown Kelowna.

Here's what's on the delicious musical menu for the evening:

We are kicking off the night with the electric Windborn Atlas—a dynamic alternative groove-rock band that evolved from the solo project, Windborn. As a four-piece, their music brings a fresh blend of unique guitar riffs, dynamic percussion, and engaging vocals. Audiences can expect an energetic and immersive show that combines the band's distinctive style with a vibrant stage presence.

We are so excited to have Freeze the Fall joining us! This hard rock power trio from Kelowna blends melodic metal vocals, thunderous rhythms, and powerful riffs.

Since releasing their debut EP, Thrones, in July 2024, they’ve gained international attention with tracks like “Glitch” and “Daughters of Witches.”

The band—Quinn (17, vocals/guitar), Aria (16, bass/vocals), and Jonah (16, drums)—collaboratively crafts their music, fusing hard rock aggression with melodic depth. Known for electrifying live performances, Freeze the Fall is quickly rising as a force in the rock and metal scene.

And finally, we have one of Kelowna's most influential and exciting bands—Nightshades.

Nightshades is a collaborative indie rock band featuring four esteemed Canadian songwriters: Andrew Judah, Common Fires, DL Ranney, and N. Sherman.

In a Beatles-esque timeshare of accessible, vibrant music, Nightshades’ sound is rich with psychedelic flourish, yet anchored in melodic hooks and pop sensibility.

With all four members swapping vocal and instrumental duties, Nightshades' live show is both visually and sonically dynamic. Their complementary (but distinct) timbres, abilities, and songwriting styles blend on stage in real-time—creating a jigsaw puzzle of talent in front of their audience with every performance.
