About this Event
Celebrate the bold, psychedelic and visually electrifying posters that defined generations of live music in the Golden State! This exhibition – the first at the Hilbert to be curated entirely by a class of Chapman University students – features a display of original concert posters designed by Rick Griffin, Stanley Mouse, Victor Moscoso and many others. Tracing California’s rock poster legacy from the 1960s counterculture to the turn of the 21st century, and from San Francisco’s famous Fillmore to the stages of L.A. and Orange County, the work of the student curators offers a new generation’s fresh perspectives on these vibrant works of graphic art.
