What To Expect At Auditions
Rock Scream: We wanna hear it. So be prepared to give it to us! Yeeeaaahhhh!
Attire: Anywhere from Rock Concert T-Shirt to full Dee Snider. Your picture will be taken at auditions and might be used for promotional material. And don’t feel like the costume is more important than you, it ain’t. It’s that sweet Cherry…Pie…on top!
Song Choice: Listen, it’s a bunch of 80’s rock music…so pick some 80’s rock music. About two minutes of music should do the trick. You don’t need to pick anything from the show, there’s plenty of music to choose from. Just make sure it suits the character, desired range, and you’re comfortable with it. We may ask you to sing something from the show if your song doesn’t give us what we need, so make it easy on us…which in turn makes it hard on us. We want you to Rock!
Headshot? Resume? Nah. We’re taking your pic when you get there and you already filled out the online form.
Cold Readings on the first day? Maybe. We may have you read lyrics as dialogue to see how you emote. We should believe what you’re singing. If you sing to someone, “Don’t go!” …make us believe it. We don’t ever wanna stop believing. Take us on a journey.
