The Commons Climbing Gym is pleased to present Rock 'N' Hold--our 2025 Endurance Competition--on Saturday, September 27th from 12 to 3 PM! Find your climbing partner and come rock out with us! Your dynamic duo will be sending as many routes as you collectively can in three hours to score as many points as possible! Immediately following the comp, we will be awarding the team with the most completed routes--as well as the team with the best rockstar attire--with some fabulous prizes, including the coveted gold holds! After the award ceremony, we invite you to join us for some post-comp festivitiesincluding a community potluck, a rockin’ photobooth, and some rad games with friends!
Rules:
Teams or solo climbers will complete climbs (with no falls or hangs) for points for 3 hours and will be signed off by a peer.
Team members do not have to climb the same routes, but will only get points for lines that they climb.
Individual scores will be tallied as a team total. This way a 5.9 climber can match with a 5.12 climber and make a team.
For the first TWO HOURS of the event, you may not repeat climbs. For the LAST HOUR, you may repeat routes you have already done.
Honesty and integrity are paramount–do not log a climb if you fell or hung.
The team or individual with the highest point total in their categories will be awarded the gold hold.
Categories:
Recreational: 5.6-5.10-
Intermediate: 5.10-5.11+
Advanced: 5.12- and up
