Loose Screws and Rusty Hearts are a wild confluence rushing from the deep springs of the San Marcos River. Sarah Stollak and Vance Loggins met on a westbound train out of San Marcos, TX — two musicians riding the rails to Los Angeles, only to cross paths again in a studio near those headwaters. EZ Maldonado and Sarah later united over a love for sweet Texas fiddle tunes on a porch at a riverside open mic. Dirk Sincler found EZ across the counter of a stellar downtown cafe where the coffee flows rich and black.\n\nComing together with EZ on vocals, Sarah on fiddle, Dirk on guitar, and Vance guiding the bass groove their haute country comes from the Edwards Aquifer over sunburnt limestone.

In 2013 RBSB began with a handful of songs and a dream to play a show in our home town of San Marcos, TX. Since then we have created 3 full length albums and a live album, and toured across the United States as well as Mexico and Europe. Our journey has been powered completely by our DIY values. Every mile driven on the road, every show booked, every song written has happened with our own hard work and dedication to this life we love so much. We are a band who genuinely cares about each other and the people who come out to see us again and again. RBSB is not out here to be rockstars, we are here to make connections with new friends and family all across the world sharing our most vulnerable selves with people who feel something when they listen to our music. Our fans are not nameless faces in the crowd, they are people who we can’t wait to hug when we see them again. They have shared meals and their homes with us, and more good times than can be counted.
