EDIT: The start of the next CERT class has been postponed until April 8th.It's back! The Rochester Fire Department is holding the next 9-week Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) course starting Wednesday, April 8th, 2026.
This is a hands-on emergency preparedness and disaster response training for everyday people. You learn how to help yourself, your family, and your neighbors during emergencies when first responders are stretched thin.

Cost: Free
Who can attend:
You do not need to live in the City of Rochester
Must be 14+ due to subject matter
What to bring: Laptop or notebook and pen (The textbook is provided on a USB drive)
