Join us for a jam-packed evening of entertainment at Southwark Cathedral for the Robes Project SleepOut – so you can enjoy yourself and support those experiencing homelessness at the same time.
While some kind souls will be staying after the entertainment to SleepOut for the night to raise funds for Robes homeless guests, everyone can still do their part without having to brave the cold.
The evening entertainment is open to all from 8pm to 9.30pm.
Tickets are free and will guarantee entry.
Please note that we will be requesting a minimum £10 donation at the door. 100% of the proceeds goes to support the Robes Project. We do appreciate your support and generosity.

Evening Agenda
The evening will begin at 8pm with a fantastic concert from the South London Jazz Orchestra. We’re delighted to hear their big band jazz with such amazing acoustics in Southwark Cathedral! The Robes Project is so grateful for the orchestra members to generously donate their time for the SleepOut entertainment.
Several dancers from Swing Patrol have also volunteered to join in as the big band continues. Everyone in the audience can toe-tap, or join in to swing and shimmy to their heart’s delight!
After a short break, the evening will continue with an engaging interview and Q&A.
Dean Mark Oakley will interview Special Guest Rob Rinder
Robes Project and Southwark Cathedral are delighted that Rob Rinder will join us on stage as featured guest for our evening SleepOut entertainment for volunteers and supporters!
Following after the South London Jazz Orchestra concert, Southwark Cathedral’s Dean, Mark Oakley, will be asking Rob a range of questions – and then will open up to the audience for a Q&A.

We’ll be hearing from Rob about his participation in the Robes SleepOut, some reflections from his celebrated career in television and broadcasting, his behind-the-scenes perspective on co-presenting the recent award-winning documentary two-part series “The Holy Land and Us – Our Untold Stories,” and what gives him reasons for faith and hope today.

About Rob Rinder
Rob Rinder is a barrister turned broadcaster and Sunday Times No.1 bestselling author. His broadcast career began with Judge Rinder. His episode of Who Do You Think You Are won a BAFTA and, following on from this, his documentary series ‘My Family, The Holocaust, and Me’ and ‘Holy Land our untold stories,’ aired to wide critical acclaim. In 2020 Rob was awarded an MBE for his services to the Holocaust education and an honorary doctorate for his legal work. This year he received a Doctor of Literature from University College London for writing, teaching and advocacy in social equality and holocaust education.
Rob is a regular host on Good Morning Britain, co-hosts BBC Two’s Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby and most recently appeared in BBC Two’s Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour, where he made his conducting debut in Venice. His new series Britain Behind Bars: A Secret History is coming soon to Channel 4. Rob’s novels The Trial and The Suspect are inspired by his experiences as a barrister.
Rob is president of Orion Orchestra, a role which combines his passion for music with nurturing the next generation of the UK’s best young musicians.
