Rob Cope’s Joy Ride performs high-energy tunes with soaring melodies and prolific improvisation. Performed by top UK jazz musicians, the band delivers a powerful sound and promises to delight audiences.
Rob is a freelance jazz musician and saxophonist with a Master’s in Music Performance from the Royal Academy of Music (2010–2012). He has released two albums, Gods of Apollo and the critically acclaimed Gemini on Ubuntu Music, both featuring leading figures of British jazz — a tradition continued with his new band, Joy Ride. In his spare time, he curates and produces The Jazz Podcast.
